What Happened To Our Mascot?
Tuesday 26th August 2008. BlueFire. Black-tie cell event. Sexy meat. Unlimited mouth-watering beef, lamb, pork, chicken, sausages, calamari and rockling fish, grilled to perfection. Sinfully delicious chocolate truffles, rochers and mango cheesecakes. Laughter, fun and loads of nonsense. "Manly" eating. Pictures, pictures, pictures. Need I say more? =p Some of the pics from my cam. Stole some pics off Facebook from Em and Pammie. Haha. The interior of BlueFire. Stasha came over before we set out together to meet the rest. She offered me mascara, and I used it. Word of advice? Never use non-waterproof mascara. Hahah. After a session of stupid poses for the camera, during which I laughed my eyes out in tears, I rubbed my eyes and my mascara smudged... badly. Hahah. And since I forgot I was wearing mascara, I happily posed for more pictures. You can imagine the rest. Sob sob sob. =( There is a lot of photoshopping to be done. Hahah. Sebutir Peluh dan Setetes Airmata
Lelaki itu duduk termenung di halte bus yang dipadati oleh para pedagang asongan. Dia tak sedang menunggu bus untuk pergi ke suatu tempat, tapi hanya sejenak berteduh dari sengatan matahari. Gaduh suara anak-anak pengasong tampaknya tak mengusik lamunannya. Matanya sedikit terpejam. Di pelipisnya butiran-butiran keringat menyemai bak cendawan tumbuh di atas jerami. Angin panas datang dari belakang punggungnya. Dinding batu telah memantulkan angin dari atas berikut hawa panas yang diserapnya. Jadilah ia seperti napas yang keluar dari lubang hidung seekor naga. Deru napas lelaki itu mereda, lalu kepalanya terkulai ke belakang dan tersandar di tiang halte. Dia tertidur. Ada tas hitam menggelembung diselempangkan di kiri bahunya. Dan sebuah kantung plastik yang juga hitam di tangan kanannya. Sebutir peluh bergulir dari pelipis dan jatuh di pipi. Pada saat yang sama, setetes airmata merembes dari sudut matanya dan mengalir ke pipi. Lalu bertemulah dua cairan yang serupa... (more)

... aunque imagino que os costara creerlo! El resumen es que la vuelta de Alemania me trajo mas estres y trabajo del que esperaba. Tenia que preparar un congreso al que me marcho en dos dias y casi todo ha ido saliendo mal y dandome problemas. El resultado ha sido que me he vuelto a quedar sin vacaciones (otro año mas!) y no he tenido tiempo para ponerme al dia "en la red" despues del lapsus de Tübingen... Como os decia, el sabado me voy cinco dias a Gante (Bélgica), para asistir a un congreso al que a estas alturas tengo mas bien pocas ganas de ir. Primero, porque para ir he tenido que sacrificar mis vacaciones tan anheladas. Y segundo, porque es la primera vez que me voy completamente sola. No me acompaña nadie del trabajo ni hemos podido organizarlo para que mi marido me acompañe. Y lo de viajar sola no me ha gustado nunca... en fin! Espero que tras la vuelta pueda recuperar por fin el ritmo normal de mi vida y poneros al dia de las novedades. Hasta pronto!
